Excise Guru D V Shidhaye is no more
Renowned Pune-based Excise Consultant, D V Shidhaye breathed his last on June 3, 2011 after a prolonged illness. A regular contributor to ELT, his articles were full of wit and known to take up the cause of weaker sections of trade and industry.
Many people are not aware that he started his career as Excise Consultant from scratch after retiring from a Sales job with Shanti Gears!
He played an instrumental role in the development of Coral's Central Excise software, X-ise.
May his soul rest in peace.
